Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual for the position of carpenter for concrete cribbing formwork . This role requires a versatile skill set in construction, with a focus on various trades including carpentry and concrete form work. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed to high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Installation and removal of concrete forms to prepare for pouring concrete.
- Carry out carpentry duties such as framing and building structures.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for various construction tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle heavy lifting as necessary throughout the course of daily duties.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction trades.
- Experience in rebar installation, masonry, carpentry, concrete forming, and finishing.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Capability of performing tasks with attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift heavy materials consistently throughout the workday.
- A commitment to maintaining safety standards on all job sites.
- CSTS2020, WHIMIS are required
- Must be willing to work out of town for extended periods of time.
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
