Position Description
We are currently seeking motivated, hardworking Class 3/1 licensed drivers for our industrial division at our Kelowna area liquids waste location.
Position Responsibilities
- Operating a pumper/bulk tank truck or box truck for waste oil collections and other industry related vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Loading/unloading bulk trucks/tankers with appropriate raw materials
- Perform daily check-in’s ensuring that paperwork is completed and accurate.
- Complete assigned work in the allotted time.
- Ensure that trucks and equipment are properly maintained by following daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules
- Perform pre and post trip inspections of bulk trucks/box trucks
- Work with dispatch and fellow employees to ensure client requests are completed in a safe and professional manner.
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs
- Experience with drum and container waste would be an asset
- Some over night travel may be required
Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 License.
- 1+ years of driver/operator experience is preferred
- Class 1 License is considered an asset
- Experience with federal and provincial Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations
- Liquid load driving experience an asset
- Clean abstract and CVOR.
- Exceptional verbal communication.
- Must be able to successfully pass all required training, background check, and drug and alcohol testing.
- Safety minded individual essential
- Customer Service orientated individual
- Self-starter individual with the ability to service up to 17 to 20 sites a day
