Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Gas Station Manager to assist in overseeing daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves assisting in managing staff, ensuring smooth store operations, and maintaining high standards of safety and service quality. Bilingual skills and prior experience in retail sales, merchandising, or store management are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist Manager in leading and supervising all store staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance
- Assist Manager in Overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies
- Assist on managing the inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities
- Assist in handling cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and bookkeeping with accuracy
- Maintain high levels of customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with vendors for purchasing supplies and managing store stock levels
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety training sessions for staff.
- Utilize effective communication skills to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or related supervisory roles with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing, and sales management
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
- Time management skills essential for overseeing daily operations efficiently
