Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Framing Carpenter & a Helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building structures and possess a strong understanding of construction techniques. As a Framer, you will be responsible for constructing frameworks for buildings, ensuring accuracy and quality in alignment with project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete framing tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to position materials and structures.
- Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Assist in concrete finishing tasks as needed for foundation work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Skills
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a framing carpenter
- Must be able to manage a crew & run site independently.
- Be able to work in high pace environments.
- Be able to layout walls, floors & trusses.
- Experience with Prefabricated wall panels is an asset.
- Strong ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with Commercial & Industrial wood frame building is an asset.
