Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to various surfaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive or dealership environments, possess mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable working with hand tools and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Apply primer, paint, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to repair or prepare surfaces prior to painting
- Assist with automotive repair tasks as needed, including heavy lifting of parts or equipment
- Maintain a clean work area and properly dispose of waste materials
- Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous dealership or automotive painting experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive repair processes
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Mechanic experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety standards and procedures
