INSURANCE AGENCY ADMIN/RECEPTIONIST
O’Reilly Insurance & Financial Services is a local business within the umbrella of Co-operators General Insurance.
Our next milestone celebration is 20 years as a local insurance agency in YXE! We are looking to add a progressive and positive individual to our team for this.
As a critical member & role of Receptionist/Administrator, you handle client inquiries, work in correlation with our advisors & associates, and be the friendly face that greets our clients.
The successful candidate will work independently and alongside other agency members in the office. Our clients & team are the key to our success!
The individual who joins our team will handle a multi-tasking workload, be detail-oriented, possess computer and organizational skills, and be an excellent communicator.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Process and follow up on all billing transactions.
- Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls.
- Probe incoming client contact to assess their needs and determine who they should speak with.
- Update & document client information.
- Create and maintain client files while ensuring strict confidentiality for our clients.
- Cash handling including confirming amounts due when collecting renewal payments and past due payments.
- Assist in scheduling and calendar management.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Deal with all banking-related tasks, including daily deposits.
- Once licensed is obtained, assist with our auto line.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess Level 1 General Insurance License within the first 6 months, Employer Sponsored.
- Minimum one-year sales & customer service experience or related business experience is preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Legally able to work in Canada; and
- Ability to pass credit reference and criminal history check.
Remuneration
- We offer paid vacation days within first year of employment (no accumulation period).
- Benefits would be offered after the probation period.
- Starting at $18.00/hour, the wage can be negotiated if the candidate has insurance industry experience.
