We're hiring a full-time Budtender for our Isabel Street location in Winnipeg. Smoke City Cannabis is a local, fast-growing retail chain, and we're looking for someone who already knows the floor: the products, the regulations, and the rhythm of a busy retail cannabis shop.

This posting is for candidates with prior PAID experience working in a licensed cannabis retail store (budtender, sales associate, or shift lead at a licensed dispensary). This is a strict requirement, not a preference.
We will NOT be responding to applicants who:
- Have no prior retail cannabis experience
- Only have personal cannabis knowledge or hobbyist interest
- Have worked in unlicensed or illicit cannabis sales
- Submit a generic resume with no cannabis retail history on it

What you'll do
- Serve customers with professional, knowledgeable, and friendly product recommendations
- Educate guests on flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vapes, concentrates, and accessories
- Run POS transactions accurately and verify ID on every sale per Manitoba LGCA rules
- Stay current on new product arrivals, promotions, and industry trends
- Restock, merchandise, and keep the retail floor clean and organized
- Support inventory counts, receiving, and general store operations
- Uphold all provincial and federal cannabis regulations at all times
What you must have
- Verifiable prior employment at a licensed cannabis retailer (this will be checked)
- Valid Manitoba Cannabis Worker Authorization, or willing and able to obtain one immediately
- 19 years of age or older
- Strong customer service and communication skills in English
- Reliable, punctual, and available for weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 25 lbs
