The Role
We are currently seeking a Ventilation Engineer to support daily underground mine ventilation monitoring, system design, and workflow execution for a Canadian-based operation. This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta (or another accepted province), offering the opportunity to work with top-tier North American operations, with the option to engage with projects in the US or Australia in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparing and maintaining drawings and prints for underground mine ventilation systems.
· Assisting with the design of underground ventilation systems to ensure adequate airflow, temperature control, and removal of harmful gases and dust using modelling and simulation tools.
· Overseeing the installation of ventilation equipment such as fans, ducts, regulators, and auxiliary systems.
· Conducting regular airflow measurements and monitoring gas levels (e.g., methane, carbon monoxide) to ensure a safe working environment.
· Accurately recording ventilation and air quality data and maintaining detailed logs for reporting and analysis.
· Implementing upgrades and modifications to existing systems to improve efficiency and meet operational requirements.
· Assistance in Drill & Blast and production workflows.

About You
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, or related engineering discipline.
· Experience: 2–5+ years of underground mine site or heavy industrial project experience, preferably in a mining environment.
· Technical Skills: Strong understanding of underground ventilation systems and projects.
· Experience with ventilation monitoring and modelling systems (Ventsim). Experience with Deswik.CAD is considered an asset.
· Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills.
· Safety & Quality: A strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace.
