Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Skilled Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks to support construction, maintenance, and installation projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The Skilled Labourer plays a vital part in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Qualifications & Mandatory Safety tickets
- CSO
- Class 5 license with clean 5 year drivers abstract
- Fork lift & skid steer tickets with more the 2 years experience
- AWP
- Fall Protection
- H2S Alive
- First Aid
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment on-site
- Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing tools and supplies
- Perform basic construction tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Support skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist in setting up scaffolding, ladders, and other temporary structures
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Perform skilled labor tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings when required
- Strong knowledge of operating equipment & basic knowledge of equipment maintenance
- - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Skills
- Proven experience as a labourer or in a similar manual labor role is preferred
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools safely
- Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Basic knowledge of construction or maintenance processes is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in various weather conditions
