Job Summary:
Triton Automotive and Industrial is a growing, locally owned supplier who considers customer service as the top priority. We are looking to hire an experienced Steel Yard Team Member.
Triton has served British Columbia and the Sea to Sky corridor’s industrial customers for over 40 years and are known for our dedication to customer service and going the extra mile for our customers.
Job description:
· Loading trucks before they head out for deliveries.
· Unloading trucks in the morning before the trucks can head out.
· Assisting customers who come into the yard looking for steel.
· Cutting pieces of steel to customer requirements.
· Putting away stock as and when needed
· Assisting customers with industrial gas cylinder sales/inquiries
· Keeping the yard clean, tidy and a safe environment.
· Operating forklifts
· Ensuring accurate steel inventory and assisting in ordering of stock.
Job requirements:
· Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations.
· Valid and clean class 5 driver’s license.
· Able to operate a forklift and a flat deck truck.
· Comfortable using basic hand and power tools and accurate with a tape measure.
· Experience with industrial gas cylinders or steel stock is an asset.
· Ability to show initiative and look for ways to help your team or improve processes or practices.
· You bring a proactive, problem-solving mind to the role and we’ll provide the training to help you learn and expand your career.
· Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
· Ability to communicate technical information in a simple manner.
· Strong time management, being punctual and time efficient.
· Ability to work as part of a team and be a team player.
· Candidate will need to dress for outdoor work with steel toe boots. Some work wear and gloves can be provided.
· Experience swaging cable would be an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
