Job Description
Fiorino Concrete Ltd. is looking for an experienced Line Setter to join our growing concrete construction team. The Line Setter is responsible for accurately setting and maintaining string lines to ensure concrete work is placed according to project plans and specifications.
This role requires strong math skills, attention to detail, interpret construction drawings, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, position, and secure string lines to guide curb machine
- Read and interpret construction drawings and site layouts
- Ensure the line is set to the correct elevation and alignment
- Work closely with foremen, operators, and labourers
- Assist with site cleanup, clearing, and preparing for concrete placement
- Check measurements to ensure work meets project specifications
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Line Setter in concrete construction
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand measurements and elevations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working on construction sites
- Valid driver’s license is required
