In this energetic role, you'll support the delivery of exceptional dental care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring the clinic runs smoothly. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patient care
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with precision and professionalism
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient safety
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Epic or Dentrix, ensuring all data is current and confidential
- Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries with warmth and clarity
- Support orthodontic procedures by taking impressions, fitting braces, and educating patients on orthodontic care
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric patients when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a busy dental practice
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic or Dentrix for record keeping and appointment scheduling
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and pediatrics to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Experience assisting with orthodontic treatments and procedures is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for digital impressions or restorations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to serve as both an assistant to the dentist and a welcoming front desk presence

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
