Position Overview:
Are you a people-focused HR professional looking to shape culture, support leadership, and contribute to a growing organization? Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg’s leader in Permanent Recruitment, has partnered with a confidential client to recruit a Human Resources Manager to join their team.
In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to support day-to-day HR operations while contributing to broader people strategies. You will bring structure, consistency, and care to HR processes, ensuring employees and leaders are supported and equipped for success.
This is a hands-on role that blends operational HR work with coaching, employee relations, recruitment, and HR projects. You will also contribute to reporting and initiatives that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate leads with empathy, builds trust through action, and balances support for employees with organizational accountability in a collaborative, evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support core HR functions, working closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure consistent and effective delivery of HR services
- Lead and manage recruitment activities, including full-cycle hiring processes, workforce planning support, and onboarding coordination
- Provide coaching and day-to-day leadership to direct reports, supporting their development, performance, and overall success
- Act as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, providing guidance on workplace matters, policies, and employee relations situations
- Support the coordination and administration of disability management processes, ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that enhance employee experience, strengthen processes, and support organizational priorities
- Support reporting and HR metrics to assist leadership in making informed, people-focused decisions
- Help foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture through consistent communication and engagement practices
- Collaborate with internal leaders and subject matter experts to support HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve overall service delivery
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, along with a CPHR designation (or working toward completion)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on operational HR delivery (recruitment, employee relations, policy support, and disability management)
- 3+ years of experience in a people leadership or supervisory capacity, with demonstrated ability to coach and support team members
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence, guide conversations, and build alignment
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes are being refined and improved
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience supporting HR projects and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Rewards:
- Competitive compensation package including base salary in the range of $85,000 - $110,000, based on qualifications
