Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and managing all aspects of food preparation and service to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. The Food Service Supervisor will also be responsible for team management, training, and maintaining high standards of hospitality and food quality.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to meet quality and safety standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members in food handling, service techniques, and safety protocols.
- Conduct interviewing and hiring of new staff to build a competent team aligned with restaurant standards.
- Monitor food safety compliance, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Coordinate kitchen activities with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of hospitality.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant management setting.
- Extensive background in food industry roles such as food preparation, cooking, serving, or hospitality management.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms for cash handling and order processing.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, interviewing, and staff development.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Prior restaurant experience including kitchen operations or hotel/restaurant management is highly desirable.
