We are hiring 1 driver for our summer operations. We have a May to June start date available
This is a full-time Vancouver to Squamish-based position. You will start your day in one of our shuttle vehicles in downtown Vancouver, transfer guests to Squamish, before jumping in one of our buses and heading to the river, your day will end with the return transport to Vancouver. The first guests are picked up around 7:30 and You should be back in Vancouver between 3:30-4. There are lots of opportunities to relax beside the river during your day. Rate is $277 plus tips.
This is not your average driving role, you will be interacting with guests on the way to their highlight day of the summer. You will be hanging out by the river, taking pictures and soaking up nature. You will be surrounded by a positive, fun work crew throughout your day.
Canadian Outback first established its rafting operation in the beautiful Squamish Valley of British Columbia in 1995 on the Elaho, Squamish and Cheakamus Rivers. We are looking for active individuals to join our team as class 2. Pay is competitive and we provide staff and friends and family rafting as well as all sorts of extra curricular activities throughout the summer. There are opportunities for both full and part-time roles.
As an active member of the British Columbia River Outfitters Association (BCROA), and of tourism associations in Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler and the Yukon, Canadian Outback has established itself as a trusted name in adventure tourism in Western Canada.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Transportation of clients to / from Vancouver to CORC Squamish base
- River shuttles for all rafting itineraries
- Vehicle maintenance (pre-trip inspections, fluid top ups, cleaning)
- Assist in equipment preparation
- Key member in emergency response procedures and protocols
- Adventure photography
- Assist base staff when necessary
- Perform other duties as they are assigned
- Provide a superior level of customer service
Requirements:
- Detail oriented and excellent work ethic
- Ability to work independently and assume responsibility
- Photography skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Class 2 driver's license (CORC can assist in achieving license)
- Must have an outgoing and confident personality
