We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Forklift Operator / Production Floor Associate to join our seafood processing warehouse team. This dual-role position involves operating a forklift to transport materials and products, while also supporting production floor activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold environment and is willing to perform both equipment operation and manual tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to safely load, unload, and transport product and materials throughout the facility.
- Move bins, totes, and pallets of fresh and frozen fish throughout the warehouse and production floor.
- Transport fish product in and out of cold storage, while maintaining proper handling standards.
- Move processed and packaged fish product to cold storage or shipping areas as directed.
- Support production tasks including packaging, sorting, labelling, and general fish processing.
- Assist with draining, dumping, and repositioning fish bins and totes as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with food safety standards.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
- Assist with inventory movement and stock rotation as needed.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid counterbalance forklift certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or food processing.
- Previous leadership or team lead experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Fast-paced environment requiring efficiency and attention to detail.
- Highly repetitive task environment.
- Work performed in a refrigerated, cold-climate setting.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible to work various shifts and occasional weekends.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
