Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Construction Site Assistant to support our team on various building projects. This role involves assisting with a wide range of construction activities, ensuring smooth operations on-site, and supporting skilled tradespeople. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction, be eager to learn, and possess basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry and opportunities to develop a diverse skill set.
Duties
- Duties as assigned by Site Supervisor
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution.
- Handle hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment under supervision to perform tasks such as framing, concrete forming, and masonry work.
- Aid in concrete finishing, caulking, and restoration projects to ensure quality standards are met.
- Participate in plumbing and electrical work as needed, following safety protocols.
- Assist with construction painting and drywall installation to prepare sites for finishing.
- Support site cleanup, material handling, and organization of tools and supplies throughout the project.
- Follow safety procedures at all times to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of 3 years in Single Family Residential.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical systems, flooring installation, tile laying, or restoration is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely is desirable but not required.
- Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn new skills on-site.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions; capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is advantageous
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
