Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista(food and beverage) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality food and beverages in a fast-paced environment. The position involves working with POS systems, and adhering to food safety standards to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company recipes and standards
- Prepare sandwiches, wraps and salads according to company recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems efficiently, for order processing and cash handling
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change to customers
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients, and provide excellent customer service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all products served
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with light food preparation when required
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry is required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with POS systems, is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently using time management skills during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or food service roles is beneficial
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
