The RGN Dispatcher is the primary point of contact between drivers and the company, responsible for coordinating daily dispatch operations and ensuring efficient, on-time service. This role supports driver performance, equipment utilization, and compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements. Success in this role requires strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Dispatch and manage a fleet of drivers, assigning loads, tasks, and instructions to meet operational requirements

Optimize fleet productivity through effective load planning, reducing empty miles and improving revenue per mile

Coordinate with planning, sales, and operations teams to support freight execution

Monitor driver and equipment activity, addressing issues quickly to maintain service levels

Confirm ETAs, appointments, and required documentation, including cross-border requirements (PARS/PAPS)

Communicate load updates and changes to internal teams in a timely manner

Support drivers with on-road issues and customer-related challenges

Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including Hours of Service and cross-border requirements

Act as a primary point of contact for drivers, building strong working relationships

Partner with HR and Safety teams on compliance, performance, and driver-related matters

Support safety initiatives, including cargo securement and incident reporting

Manage driver scheduling, including time off, leaves, and return-to-work coordination

Strong technical aptitude and ability to work within transportation systems and dispatch software

Strong understanding of transportation operations, dispatch processes, and driver support

Availability to support operations outside of standard business hours as required

High School Diploma or GED required

1–2 years of experience in the transportation industry preferred

Dispatch or fleet coordination experience is considered an asset

CCLP designation is considered an asset
