BUFALUS TRANSPORT is expanding and seeking 2–3 professional Class 1 Commercial Drivers to join our long-haul flatdeck / stepdeck fleet operating throughout Canada and the United States.

Position Overview
Our Commercial Drivers are responsible for:
- Transporting customer freight safely and efficiently across Canada and the United States
- Verifying load accuracy against shipping documentation
- Operating as sole-occupant drivers while maintaining regular communication with Dispatch and Fleet Safety
- Representing Bufalus Transport with professionalism at all times
Safety is not optional at Bufalus Transport. Drivers are expected to operate in full compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and U.S. transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Long-haul operation from Calgary to destinations across Canada & the U.S.
- Loading and unloading freight and powered equipment on flatdeck / stepdeck trailers
- Securing cargo in compliance with National Safety Code Standard 10 – Cargo Securement
- Maintaining accurate Records of Duty Status (RODS) through our compliant ELD system
- Performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Cooperating professionally with roadside enforcement and scale house officers
- Completing all required documentation accurately and on time
- Assisting in yard operations and equipment loading as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years Class 1 commercial driving experience
- Minimum 2 years flatdeck / stepdeck experience
- No more than 3 active demerits within the past 5 years
- Clean criminal background check
- Active FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse account with no violations
- Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Canadian & U.S. Hours of Service
- Trip inspections
- Cargo securement
- Commercial vehicle weights & dimensions
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (Work Visa, Permanent Residency, or Citizenship)
- English proficiency in accordance with 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2)
