Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to service standards
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance
- Lead food service activities during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes
- Ensure all dishes meet presentation standards and are prepared according to recipes and specifications
- Maintain inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation
- Enforce food safety regulations and sanitation practices across the kitchen
- Support training of new staff members in food preparation, safety protocols, and service procedures
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus and special offerings
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of restaurant management practices and food safety regulations
- Hands-on experience with food handling, serving, and kitchen operations
- Previous restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially within fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality and customer service
