Overview
Adam Thibert Photography is looking for a part-time Portrait Associate Photographer & Studio Assistant to join our growing studio team. This is a part-time independent contractor position ideal for a photographer or creative professional looking for flexible work while building their skills in luxury portrait photography.
We specialize in luxury black-and-white portraiture, creating meaningful artwork for women, families, professionals, and dog lovers throughout Alberta. Our work is about more than taking photographs—we create experiences that help people see themselves and their loved ones in a powerful and meaningful way.
This position is ideal for someone who loves photography, enjoys working with people, and wants to learn the art of creating exceptional portrait experiences. We are willing to train the right person.
Equipment Requirements
Applicants must have access to:
- Access to a professional-level camera system. Canon users preferred.
- A laptop computer capable of running Lightroom and other photography software
- Reliable transportation
- High-speed internet access

Responsibilities
- Assist with portrait sessions in our Calgary studio
- Photograph clients using our proven workflow and style
- Help pose and guide clients throughout their session
- Work with individuals, families, and dogs
- Set up and maintain studio lighting and equipment
- Prepare the studio before and after sessions
- Assist with general studio organization and client experience
What We're Looking For
- Passion for photography and creativity

- Comfortable working with dogs
- Reliable, punctual, and coachable
- Able to take direction and follow established systems
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Canon camera systems and own a full frame camera
- Experience with studio lighting
- Lightroom or photo editing experience
- Customer service, hospitality, or sales experience
Compensation
- $17–$20 per hour depending on experience
- Paid training and mentorship
- Flexible part-time schedule
