Job Description:
Radical Tree Service Ltd. is looking for an arborist grounds person to join our team based out of Salmon Arm, BC. You will be part of a skilled team performing tree removals, pruning and other tree services in a safe work environment. You will be working outdoors, gaining skills and experience in the arboriculture industry through hands-on, on-the-job training. Each day is different and is set in the beautiful Shuswap and north Okanagan area.
Duties include:
- Chainsaw operation
- Chipper operation
- Rigging
- Pruning
- Driving, backing up and parking with trailers
- Learning and adhering to all safety rules
Qualifications:
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic
- Previous experience in the tree care or forestry industry is preferred.
- Ability to operate chainsaws safely and efficiently
- Basic knowledge of tree species and common tree care practices.
- Ability to operate chippers and other tree care equipment safely.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
