We’re currently seeking the right individual to take ownership of a unique role that blends fieldwork, estimating, and light fabrication oversight. Key Responsibilities:
- Visit job sites within our existing customer base to estimate fabrication and repair work.
- Perform or supervise minor welding repairs, small-scale fabrication, or installations.
- Build relationships and seek new business opportunities through client visits and networking.
- Collaborate with our fully equipped fabrication shop for larger projects.
- Coordinate with field crews for larger-scale installations beyond your division’s scope.
- Perform site or plant visits for measurements as needed.
- Assist our fabrication estimating team during slow periods or when backlogged.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in MIG and Stick welding (tickets are an asset but not required).
- Mechanical or millwrighting background and use of basic hand tools is an asset.
- Estimating experience is required
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- AutoCAD experience is an asset, especially for reviewing or creating basic drawings.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload like your own business unit.
