Position Overview:
The Construction Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager and site teams with the documentation, communication, and tracking that keep projects running smoothly. This is a great growth role for someone building a career in construction project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contracts
- Track and expedite shop drawings, material procurement, and deliveries
- Assist with scheduling updates and progress tracking
- Coordinate communication between site supervision, subcontractors, and consultants
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and action item logs
- Support cost tracking, purchase orders, and invoice coding
- Help compile closeout documents, O&M manuals, and warranties
- Maintain organized project files and drawing registers
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years in a construction coordination or administrative role
- Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Procore or similar an asset
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Pay: $55,000-$70,000 per year
Work Location: In person, office with site visits (Hamilton, ON area)
