We are looking for a passionate cardiovascular technologist to work at our location in Corunna, Ontario (13km South of Sarnia, Ontario). We are known as Capture Health in Corunna and are a Windsor Heart Institute Company. We are the largest outpatient cardiovascular institute in the Windsor Essex county. Our cardiologists are made up of subspecialists in the field of interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure and transplantation and advanced cardiac imaging.
In addition to an hourly or per study salary, the successful candidate will be enrolled in a very generous Hospital of Ontario Pension Program (HOOPP)
The right candidate will be able to:
- Prepares for examinations by checking equipment, taking inventory of supplies, replenishing stock as needed, reviewing physician orders and patient schedules, readying recording equipment and inputting patient information.
- Manages patient stress by patiently explaining exam procedures, answering questions and providing ambulatory assistance.
- Performs ECG’s, rooms patients, enters patient medications, takes blood pressures, cleans and hooks up and Holter and ABPM monitors, analyzes/interprets holter monitor data, performs stress tests
- Calls patients for test appointment reminders, schedules patients.
- Accepts ownership for completing all job duties efficiently and completely.
- Orders supplies for department.
- Keeps job-related knowledge up to date by taking advantage of educational opportunities, networking, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations.
- Trains new staff and students when necessary
Required License / Certification:
· Successful completion of a Cardiovascular Technologist program from an accredited institution.
· Registration with the Canadian/Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists
· Current CPR certification
