At The Speech Society, we provide personalized, client-centered therapy services for children, teens, adults, and seniors across the Greater Toronto Area through virtual and in-home care.
We are a growing multidisciplinary practice committed to flexibility, collaboration, and high-quality care. We are currently seeking passionate Occupational Therapists to join our team as independent contractors.

Compensation
- Competitive per-session compensation
- $15 driving compensation for in-home sessions
- Late cancellations and no-shows compensated if payment is collected from the client
(Compensation discussed based on session length and experience.)
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and developmental needs to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
- Support clients in developing functional skills for daily living, school, work, and community participation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless patient management.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures.
- Manage caseloads efficiently while adhering to scheduled appointments and treatment protocols.
- Stay current with the latest occupational therapy practices, medical terminology, and industry standards.
- Provide services virtually and/or in clients’ homes across the GTA
Qualifications
Required
- Registered and in good standing with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Professional liability insurance
- Must have a G/G2 license and access to a vehicle for in-home sessions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations
- Experience providing virtual therapy
- Strong knowledge of case management principles and medical terminology.
