Journeyperson Manual Machinist:
- Journeyperson certificate or minimum 5 years trade experience.
- Strong skill set in all aspects of manual machining.
- Able to operate Manual Lathes, Milling Machines, Boring Mill, Surface Grinder, Radial arm drill, overhead cranes.
- strong blueprint reading skills.
- ability to reverse engineer projects as required.
- standard machinists tools.
Addition skills that would be an asset:
- Strong skill set in CNC machining.
- Interpret blueprints and edit CNC Programs as required.
- Competent with Fagor, Fanuc, Hass and Gibbs Cam.
- Applicant will be required to use overhead cranes.
- Inspection of machined components in accordance with customer specification.
- Valid Drivers License.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that safe-working procedures, good housekeeping practices and all company policies are always adhered to.
- Prepare and setup machine tools for daily operation.
- Determine tooling, toolpaths, setup methods and fixtures to produce parts in most efficient manner.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot machines as required.
- Be accountable for final product quality.
