We are seeking a motivated and dependable Plow Truck Operator to join our team and help maintain safe, clear roads during winter weather conditions. Responsibilities
- Operate plow trucks and snow removal equipment safely and efficiently across designated routes during winter storms.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of trucks and attachments, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Follow established routes and schedules to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other public areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route progress, equipment issues, or hazards encountered.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or maintenance as needed to keep vehicles operational throughout the season.
- Maintain detailed logs of work completed, including routes covered, materials used, and time spent on each task.
- Adhere to safety protocols and traffic regulations at all times while operating heavy equipment in various weather conditions.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as plow trucks, forklifts, or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of snow removal techniques, road safety practices, and traffic control measures.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and routine maintenance on heavy vehicles.
- Strong physical stamina to work outdoors in cold weather for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
- Prior experience with freight handling or logistics operations is a plus but not required.
