Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as experience with various tools and construction processes. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including commercial, residential, and restoration sites, contributing to the successful completion of high-quality structures.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and positioning materials or assisting with site preparation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Perform masonry tasks, including caulking, restoration work, and flooring installation as needed.
- Coordinate with carpenters, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project progression.
- Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces, making necessary adjustments for proper texture and finish.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in concrete forming processes and ensure proper curing techniques are followed.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction trades such as masonry or restoration.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete forming, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, welding, and flooring installation is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various phases of construction projects.
- Prior experience with renovation projects or working in diverse construction environments is a plus.
