About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and experienced Team Member / Shift Lead to join our fast-casual restaurant family. At WingsUp!, we pride ourselves on serving fresh, high-quality gourmet chicken and sides with speed and accuracy. Because you have previous restaurant experience, you will play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring food safety standards are met, and mentoring newer staff during busy rushes.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking: Safely operate fryers and kitchen equipment to prepare orders with absolute precision (making sure our signature wings and appetizers are perfectly crisp and fresh).
Quality Control & Packaging: Assemble, sauce, and package outgoing orders securely for both walk-in guests and delivery drivers, ensuring presentation matches brand standards.
Customer Service Excellence: Confidently handle the POS system, take walk-in and phone orders, resolve minor guest inquiries, and maintain a friendly, welcoming counter environment.
Kitchen Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a spotless workspace by following all Ontario food safety guidelines, strict sanitation protocols, and completing daily setup/closing checklists.
Team Support: Act as a reliable point of contact during busy shifts, helping coach newer team members on speed, food handling, and cleanliness.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in a fast-casual restaurant, quick-service environment, or commercial kitchen (required).
Certifications: Valid Food Handler Certificate is highly preferred.
Skills: Exceptional teamwork, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a calm, positive demeanor under pressure.
Availability: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and late-night closing shifts.
Attributes: Punctual, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in a clean kitchen and happy customers.

Pay: $16.60-$17.60 per hour
