Role Description
We are seeking a French Instructor to join our team at Create Career College in Burnaby or Downtown Vancouver, BC. This is a part-time, on-site role. The French Instructor will be responsible for providing high-quality French language instruction, developing and delivering lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to ensure a positive learning experience. The instructor will also contribute to teacher training and support, ensuring that students receive the best educational guidance possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare students for the TEF & TCF French exams, helping them reach a CLB7 (B2) level upon completion.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging classroom instruction based on the approved curriculum.
- Complete and submit grade books in a timely manner; mark all tests, exams, and assignments.
- Draft quizzes and exams, create assignments, and assess student performance in alignment with learning objectives.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and career-oriented learning environment that accommodates diverse cultural backgrounds and individual learning styles.
- Foster a supportive, motivating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and achievement.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in French, Education, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of French teaching experience, preferably with adult learners.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and teaching methodologies.
- Experience teaching international students is a plus.
- Highly organized with excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, multi-cultural team setting.
- Sensitivity and understanding of the needs of adult immigrant learners.
- Teaching certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
Schedule:
- Morning or evening shifts
- Weekends as needed

Compensation:
- Vacation pay will be provided after completing 30 working days.
