Located in the heart of Lower Lonsdale, we are proud of our authentic pub atmosphere, strong community roots, live entertainment, and made-from-scratch food program.We are currently seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager / Kitchen Supervisor to lead our Back of House team and help us continue a proud tradition of hospitality. What We're Looking For
- Previous Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing food and labour costs
- Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to lead by example during service
- Passion for hospitality and great pub food
- FoodSafe Certification (preferred)
- Experience in pubs, casual dining, or neighbourhood restaurants considered an asset
What You'll Be Responsible For Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, mentor, and support the BOH team
- Create a positive, accountable, and respectful kitchen culture
- Train and develop cooks on recipes, plating, procedures, and standards
Kitchen Operations
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Manage prep systems, pars, and kitchen organization
- Schedule
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering
Financial Performance
- Manage food costs and labour costs
- Assist with menu development and feature creation
- Identify opportunities to grow food sales and guest satisfaction
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure FoodSafe standards are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are followed
Compensation PackageBase Compensation
Monthly Performance BonusesFood Cost Bonus
- $300 per month if food cost is below 36%
- $150 per month if food cost is between 36.1% and 38%
Labour Cost Bonus
- $250 per month if kitchen wage cost is below 32%
- $150 per month if kitchen wage cost is between 32.1% and 35%
Long-Term Incentives Retention Bonus
- $1,500 paid after 12 months of successful employment
Food Sales Growth Bonus
- $3,000 bonus if annual food sales reach $300,000 on a rolling 12-month basis
