How You Will Make an Impact
Youth Services provides support to 15 co-ed homeless youth ages 16-21 as well as a 21-bed youth shelter, including youth who have ongoing contact or involvement with CAS/CCAS/Probation/Youth Justice System/ AY/ADGS and other family counseling agencies. Staff members support clients to reach personal goals and to have a satisfying and meaningful life in the community.

Demonstrate a commitment to the mission values rooted through Hospitality of availability, responsibility, adaptability, quality and dignity

Be aware of and sensitive to the issues related to poverty, homelessness, mental illness, addictions and developmental disabilities

Enhance the dignity and quality of life of our clients through the assumed responsibility for cleaning services

Clean facilities for our Youth facilities

Maintaining adequate supplies related to cleaning

Observe all health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations
What You'll Bring to Our Team
-
One year cleaning experience in a residential facility (preferred)
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a necessity
-
Experience working with the homeless would be an asset
-
Certification in CPR or a willingness to be certified is also required

Committed to anti-racist/anti-oppressive practice and to the mission and values of Good Shepherd
- Fluency in a language in addition to English is an asset
