About the Role:
We are seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining our fleet of trucks, trailers, and mobile equipment, with a focus on hydraulic and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold company policies and procedures related to health, safety, and scheduled maintenance programs
- Diagnose malfunctions and faults in equipment
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Interpret work orders and manuals accurately
- Prepare detailed service reports
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and legislative regulations
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Certification (preferred)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Experience with hydraulic systems is an asset
- Background in the disposal industry is an asset
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License preferred
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Familiarity with engine and electrical systems is an asset
- Experience with Cummins INSITE is an asset
