Last Door Recovery Society is a leader in fostering a community that inspires recovery. Our mission is to provide therapeutic environments where individuals and families dealing with addiction issues can develop the necessary skills to live free in recovery. We offer long-term bed-based and outpatient treatment for men aged 19 and over, utilizing a Social Model treatment modality. Position Overview:
The Housekeeping staff will oversee all aspects of housekeeping operations within our treatment center. They will be responsible for ensuring that our facility maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to support the well-being and comfort of our clients and staff. This role is responsible for developing and implementing cleaning schedules, protocols, and procedures to maintain high hygiene standards across all facility areas while also overseeing inventory, budgeting, and health and safety compliance. It includes conducting regular inspections, implementing corrective actions, and providing ongoing training and performance evaluations for housekeeping staff. Additionally, the position requires close coordination with other departments to ensure efficient operations, prompt response to housekeeping needs, and continual process improvements to enhance overall client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certification or training in housekeeping management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve excellence.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safety protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and interact with individuals at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and requirements related to cleaning and sanitation.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Successfully complete and pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to initiating employment.
Working Conditions:
Shift work, days, evenings, nights and weekends.
