Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in plumbing systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in both new construction and repair environments. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, ensuring the functionality and safety of plumbing systems across various settings. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of hand and power tools. The position requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and in , commercial, and industrial settings
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and specifications for plumbing projects
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete installations and repairs
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
- Collaborate with other trades such as HVAC teams when necessary for integrated projects
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems using basic math and technical schematics to identify solutions efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications
- Assist in assembly processes related to plumbing components or related systems as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing installation and repair within construction or maintenance environments
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in carpentry, HVAC systems, welding, and general construction practices
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and basic math skills
- Ability to read technical drawings such as blueprints and schematics accurately
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to plumbing work and construction sites
- Experience with welding or assembly work is a plus
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
