About Us
Artmo Construction is a small but growing residential renovation company based in Edmonton. We take on everything from simple finish updates to full gut renos, and we pride ourselves on quality work and a tight-knit crew that actually enjoys showing up to the jobsite. As we grow, we're looking to bring on someone who wants to grow with us.
The Role
We're hiring a versatile renovator who can handle a bit of everything. On any given week you might be framing a basement, hanging and finishing drywall, doing finish carpentry, painting, or pitching in on demo and general labour. We're open to a range of experience levels, so this role can flex to fit the right person:
- If you're earlier in your career: You know your way around basic tools, you're hungry to learn, and you want to build real skills under people who'll take the time to teach you.
- If you're experienced: You can run a jobsite on your own, manage your time, and deliver finished work we're all proud of — with room to take on more responsibility as we grow.
Skills We're Looking For
- Framing (walls, basements, structural modifications)
- Finish carpentry — trim, doors, cabinets, built-ins
- Hanging drywall
- Mudding / taping
- Painting
- Demo and general site labour
- Keeping jobsites clean, organized, and safe
- Communicating with the team and (for more experienced hires) clients
What We're Looking For
- Some hands-on experience with renovations or trades 1-2 years experience minimum
- Comfortable with common power and hand tools
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Reliable, on time, and takes pride in their work
- Works well in a small team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
- Own basic hand tools (required)
- Physically able to handle the demands of reno work (lifting 50+ lbs, ladder work, etc.)
Bonus points for: experience running jobs unsupervised, ticketed trades, or specialty skills (tile, cabinetry, electrical/plumbing rough-in awareness, etc.)
