A Warehouse Person is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing products and materials within a warehouse. They ensure inventory accuracy, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and assist with shipping and receiving operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified).
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
- Report damaged or missing items to supervisors.
- Follow company policies and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs/23 kg).
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
