Job Summary
We are a large format printing and design company located in Burnaby and are looking for someone to join our team.
Please note this is not a creative position but there will be opportunities for creativity from time to time depending on the order.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Pre-flight incoming client-supplied files
- Build layouts and marketing collateral meeting art guidelines
- Communicate directly with customers for proofing and revisions
- Prepare artwork files for printing
- Colour correction and basic photo manipulation
- Proofreading designs
- Archive completed jobs
- Other Tasks as assigned
- Work within guidelines to create custom designs
Qualifications and Skills
- Eager to learn
- Strong knowledge of ad production stages and print production specifications
- Exceptional skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
- Detail-oriented and accustomed to working within tight timelines and meeting deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
**1 to 2 years of related work experience and knowledge of pre-press is a plus**
- Ability to speak Spanish or Portuguese is an asset
