Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a positive dining experience, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in setting up tables, cleaning dining areas, and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Address guest inquiries professionally and resolve any concerns promptly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation protocols
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle food preparation tasks when needed
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the dining experience
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not required
