Our client is seeking a fully bilingual Payroll Specialist to join their growing payroll team. This individual will support full-cycle, multi-provincial payroll processing within a fast-paced environment supporting a large employee population across Canada. Principal tasks and responsibilities include:

Process end-to-end Canadian payroll for a large employee population across multiple provinces

Support payroll processing for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employee groups

Review payroll inputs including timesheets, deductions, payroll adjustments, and employee changes

Ensure payroll accuracy, balancing, and compliance with provincial payroll regulations and tax requirements

Support payroll issue resolution and employee payroll inquiries in both English and French
-
Maintain payroll records and support payroll reporting requirements as needed

Collaborate with HR and internal teams to support payroll operations and process improvements

Assist with ongoing payroll centralization and shared services initiatives
-
Work within enterprise payroll and HRIS systems in a high-volume environment

Support tight payroll deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications and pre-requisites:

3-4+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience within a mid-to-large sized organization

Fully bilingual in English and French

Experience processing multi-provincial Canadian payroll including Quebec payroll exposure

Experience supporting hourly, salaried, and commissioned employee groups

Experience working within retail, high-volume, or operationally complex environments preferred

Strong understanding of provincial payroll regulations and payroll tax calculations

Experience working with enterprise-level payroll or HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian/Dayforce, UKG, SAP, or similar platforms

Strong communication and employee support skills

Ability to work effectively within evolving operational and shared services environments

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
