Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. This role is essential in delivering a positive dining experience for our guests and ensuring smooth daily operations within our food service establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Manage cashier duties, including processing payments accurately and providing change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices to ensure safety and quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to ensure orders are prepared and served in a timely manner
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good sanitation practices and understanding of food handling regulations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory
