Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, food handling, and general cleaning duties to ensure smooth kitchen operations. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality, food service, and working in a fast-paced culinary setting.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Support the serving staff during meal service as needed
- Ensure all areas of the kitchen meet health and safety standards
- Assist with stocking supplies and organizing storage areas
- Help with dishwashing and waste disposal to maintain a hygienic workspace
- Support the team in any additional tasks required to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices is advantageous
- Experience in cleaning and maintaining kitchen cleanliness is a plus
- Knowledge of food service procedures and customer service skills are beneficial
- Prior experience in hospitality or related roles will help in understanding the fast-paced nature of the work environment
