Company description
Excelsense improves the efficiency and safety of industrial operations with self-cleaning optical devices. Unlike other cameras and optics technology, ExcelSense uses award-winning, patented technology to ensure zero required maintenance for the rated life of all products. We aim to support the reliability of all critical sensors in perception systems as the world continues to rapidly develop and adopt autonomous solutions.
Job description
We are looking for a flexible, disciplined, and detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembler & Tester to join our team. This is a cross-functional role where you will jump between hands-on electromechanical assembly and final quality control (QC) testing depending on production needs. You will be responsible for building units according to instructions and running standardized tests to ensure every product leaving the line meets our strict quality standards. This role focuses on precise execution and compliance rather than repair or engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electromechanical Assembly: Follow work instructions to complete electromechanical assemblies, including packaging and labeling.
- Functional & End-of-Line Testing: Execute automated and manual test sequences using established fixtures and software to verify electrical and mechanical functions.
- Pass/Fail Validation: Accurately identify non-conforming products. Clearly mark and segregate failing units for the repair department according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Packaging and labelling
- Documentation & Traceability: Maintain digital logs of all tests performed, ensure serial numbers are scanned, and upload pass/fail data to the production database. Document relevant results according to the QC plan.
- Facility & 5S Standards: Prepare and organize parts and tools in line with our 5S standards and safety guidelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to provide feedback and support ongoing efforts in product/process improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2+ years in a general manufacturing, assembly, or test environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- High Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minute defects or deviations in complex electromechanical builds.
- Process Discipline: Must be able to follow repetitive, multi-step SOPs without cutting corners.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in data entry and operating touch-screen or Windows-based test interfaces.
- Communication: Ability to clearly report findings to supervisors and production leads.
Nice to have:
- Experience in an electromechanical production environment (cables, motors, PCBs).
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings.
- Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
Only candidates selected to move onto the next round of the recruitment process will be contacted.
