Job Overview
Calgary Lawn Care Services is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead landscape installation projects from start to finish. This is not a lawn maintenance position. We are looking for someone with proven experience in landscape construction, including sod installation, garden bed construction, grading, planting, hardscape projects, and estimating.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage crews, communicate with clients, estimate projects, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscape construction crews on residential and commercial projects
- Oversee sod installations, garden bed construction, planting, grading, mulch and rock installation, retaining walls, and other landscape projects
- Conduct site visits and assist with project estimating and material takeoffs
- Coordinate project schedules, equipment, and materials
- Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to company standards
- Train and mentor crew members while maintaining a productive work environment
- Communicate with clients regarding project progress and expectations
- Perform quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
- Maintain a safe and organized job site
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of landscape construction experience
- Proven experience with sod installation, garden bed installation, grading, planting, and landscape construction projects
- Previous experience leading crews and managing projects
- Experience estimating landscape projects and communicating with clients
- Strong understanding of landscape construction practices and job site safety
- Ability to read landscape plans and project drawings
- Physically capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Mandatory Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Ability to pass reference checks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with skid steers, mini loaders, excavators, or other landscape equipment
- Irrigation installation experience
- Hardscape experience including patios, retaining walls, fencing, and decking
Compensation will be based on experience, leadership ability, estimating experience, and overall qualifications.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
