Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Concrete Labourers and experienced Concrete Finishers to join our growing team. This role involves working on a variety of residential and commercial concrete projects, including forming, placing, finishing, and restoration work. We welcome applicants of all experience levels for labourer positions and are willing to train motivated individuals who are looking to start a career in the construction industry.
The position offers opportunities to develop skills in concrete construction, carpentry, equipment operation, blueprint reading, and project execution while working in a fast-paced team environment.
Duties
- Prepare and set up forms for concrete placement using carpentry skills and project drawings
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment
- Install rebar, wire mesh, and other reinforcement materials according to project requirements
- Assist with concrete pouring, leveling, and curing processes
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as screeding, floating, edging, and troweling to achieve quality finishes
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively
- Complete restoration and repair work on existing concrete surfaces as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule and to a high standard of quality
Qualifications
- Experience in concrete construction is an asset but not required for Labourer positions
- Previous concrete finishing experience is preferred for Finisher positions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Experience operating construction tools and equipment is an asset
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and construction practices is beneficial
- Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, rebar installation, and concrete repair is an asset
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered assets
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
