VIH Aerospace (VIHA), a global leader in Helicopter Manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MMRO) is looking to expand our team by hiring an additional Structures AME-S.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
VIHA is looking for a team focused person to join our Maintenance and Structures Department. Reporting to the Director of Maintenance and/or Structures Supervisor, the ideal candidate will gain exposure to a variety of and sometimes challenging projects ranging from sheet metal and composite repairs to in-depth structures repairs and modifications.
This is a full-time position based at the VIH Aerospace facility in Sidney, BC, Canada.
Relocation services are not included in this opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform sheet metal and composite repairs to aircraft components.
- Provide high quality workmanship with attention to detail.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Follow instruction and work to industry standards.
- Maintain a tidy work area and be able to keep accurate work records.
- Be open to the possibility of travel and working in and outside of Canada. Valid passport and a valid driver license required.
- Ensure work sheets, logs, and other records are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- AME-S rating is preferred, however all levels of experience will be considered
- Approved training course completed is preferred (ICS also accepted)
- Able to interpret Manuals/Drawings/Technical Data/Process standards
- Good Hand skills
- Good communication (spoken and written)
- Able to take direction
- Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
- Able to work independently or in a team environment
- Reliable and punctual
- The ability to work away from base, sometimes on short notice.
