Description of Position:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic junior geologist looking to acquire experience in mineral exploration. The position is field-based. Your general responsibilities include assisting with ongoing exploration projects in Newfoundland, and will include participation with soil sampling, prospecting, geological mapping, drill programs, core logging, assaying core, database entry, and maintaining QAQC protocols. The successful candidate will be able to operate and maintain the integrity of client data / databases and work to best industry standards, and is expected to maintain positive relationships with our clients and other industry professionals. Minimum Requirements:
· Geology or Earth Science, minimum Bachelor’s degree (or student in 3rd / 4th year)
· Professional or GIT registration in Canada (or eligible for registration)
· Valid driver’s license
· Experience in mineral exploration highly preferred
· Willingness and ability to work in remote locations in Canada
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong verbal and written communications
· Able to complete assignments on a timely basis
Job Types: Contract or Seasonal
Pay: $350.00-$400.00 per day
