Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant Level 1 or Level 2 to join our dental practice for 18 Month Maternity leave with a big possibility to stay afterwards. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist the dental team with procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take dental radiographs.
- Manage patient records using dental software.
- Provide chairside support during examinations, cleanings, and complex procedures
- Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient information
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment throughout the clinic
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current licensure
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including radiography and sterilization procedures
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in medical office administration is a plus
- Knowledge of dental assisting best practices and safety standards
